I studied at Simpson College in San Francisco before marrying
Ken Maahs, CHS graduate of 1958, in 1962. Since then I've
worked full-time as a Secretary/Admin. Asst. for various Fortune
500 companies (Bell & Howell, RCA, Kaiser Jeep, IBM (from
which I retired in 1992), and AstraZeneca (retired again in
2008).
We lived in various parts of the country while my husband
pursued his studies toward a PhD in Old and New Testament
Studies (Pasadena, Princeton, Nyack (NY), Southbend (IN),
Louisville (KY) and finally settled in King of Prussia, PA, where
we have lived since 1974.
My husband continues to teach at Eastern University in St.
Davids, PA, and we have enjoyed traveling to Israel, Egypt,
Turkey and Greece, where he conducts travel tours for
students and adults. Ken has also filled numerous chaplaincies
on cruise ships which have taken us to Bermuda and most of
the Caribbean islands.
Our son, Ken, Jr., graduated from Drexel University a few years
ago with a Masters in Applied Math and now works as a
statistical programmer in the area.
We hope to do more traveling when Ken retires as more and
more cruise ships need chaplains. It would be wonderful to see
some of you on one of those ships.
